Amazing food! Cannot recommend enough. Really quality food and good price and portions. Nice pub and drink selection too. Lovely beer garden and children's play area.

This has really become an amazing place. The food is absolutely incredible - I really couldn't recommend it enough. As for a drinking location, well the landlord himself is really welcoming. He makes an effort to make you feel at peace when you visit. He clearly takes pride in his work and it shows. Let me summarise it in a sentence - what once was bare gravel is now a children's play area and beer garden.
I remember how this place used to be - a bit of a dive to be honest but nope - not anymore! He has made it a local gem - providing a family friendly, dog friendly local boozer for all walks of life. The bar staff that I've met seem top notch. I can honestly say Bart was such a nice person, sharply dressed and always positive. There was a lady called Paige too, she seemed like a very caring soul - it's so nice to meet someone that welcoming when you approach the bar. I met a young lady called Tina who I can safely assume works there but she was off duty at the time, only the bar staff kept asking her things. There was a bald guy working one day with a red beard, Mark I think - he kept asking her for help a lot so I guess she was coaching him at that time.
I haven't been around long, but I've met so many nationalities, walks of life and professions in such few visits and shared amazing conversations with all - it has a multicultural warmth with that classic British pub vibe. Trust me, visit and you'll understand what I mean, if you have an open heart and an empty stomach you'll be right at home. I promise you that.

Lovely to see the hard work by the new owners paying off. It's made a lot of difference and great to see so many people back in there. Such a lovely building and it was going to ruin. But not anymore! Well done to the team at the miles.

Outstanding. The food is excellent quality and there’s a really good drinks selection. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it always feels comfortable and relaxed when you walk in. Service is friendly and attentive. Big shout out to Checko and Tina for the great service.

Great food and service. I was so surprised how lovely the food was. Highly recommended, family friendly too. Have been here twice this week, once with family (children included) and then with friends for an evening out. Food great both times

Pork knuckle is absolutely delicious, so much food for a really good price, amazing gravy, pickles and sauces. 10/10. Goulash was lively and warming, perfect spiced sauce.
Staff were super nice and jovial, really friendly atmosphere.
Very loud upbeat music which was difficult to talk over, but as soon as the food arrived I enjoyed it much more.
Menu had a large variety of options.
Definitely recommend this to anyone, this was the best bit of pork I've ever had, just falling off teh bone, with sweet crunchy crackling as well.
Staff were super nice and jovial, really friendly atmosphere.

Went there with a bunch of friends, and food did not only looked great and was served by a very nice young man (owner's son), but it also tested great. The bonus was the portion size, I don't remember ever not finishing my food in a restaurant before.

Really enjoyed the food here.
I had the pork knuckle and it was absolutely delicious.
Perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with crispy skin, full of flavour.
The dumplings were also amazing and just as tasty.
One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Highly recommended

Before setting off for a gruelling shopping trip at the nearby Costco we stopped here for lunch. The reception was so friendly and the staff were attentive. Food and drinks were good value for money 3 of the 4 meals were excellent, mine was also good, but a little bit too greasy. Nothing a gentle dab with some kitchen towel would dort out. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and we will be going back.

We stumbled upon the Miles Arms somewhat by accident, looking for a place to spend the evening, and what a hit it was! This isn't just an ordinary bar or restaurant – it's a place with true soul, and that soul is created primarily by the owners.
From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly well-cared for. The owners are incredibly friendly, warm, and smiling people who welcome guests like old friends. You can tell they put their whole hearts into this place. Their passion and commitment make the atmosphere absolutely unique – casual, friendly, and simply homey.
And now for the specifics: the food was delicious! Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The pork knuckles, the Sunday roast beef shortribs, were a masterpiece! Plus, there's a great selection of drinks and cocktails – sex on the beach was masterfully prepared.
The whole experience is complemented by the excellent service, which is matched by the owners' approach – everyone is helpful and genuinely kind. If you're looking for a place where you can not only enjoy excellent food and drinks, but above all, feel comfortable and special, this is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back! I came here out of interest as, I'd heard that the food here was good and I'd eatenin the landlords previous pub the Star in Pill. Well I was not disappointed it was exceptionally good and freshly cooked! Was decent sized portion and reasonably priced too, the pub itself is homely and very welcoming the stuff are brilliant as well especially the landlord top man🙌 100% would recommend and will definitely go back

It is a welcoming place with very nice atmosphere and the staff are so very friendly, Alan who looked after me while I was there is a great and upcoming member of the staff here.
The food was absolutely amazing and delicious looking forward to seeing you all again next Sunday

Since I moved to the other side of Bristol it's no longer my local pub. I visited after a few good years as it's never exactly convenient to get there. I have to say ill definitely make more of an effort to pop for a meal. It's apparently under new ownership and it shows. It's very bright, clean and inviting. The food is amazing, especially the dishes with a European twist. The size of the large Gyros is mind blowing, I could barely finish the whole thing. What also positively added to the experience, was the children's play area that kept my little ones busy while we waited for food. If you're on the M5, passing by Avonmouth and you're craving a great warm meal I highly recommend you pay it a visit.
